Soufflé Of The Day

Los Angeles has some of the most amazing food. Every night is somewhere new, and every night is somewhere delicious. There’s one staple that is never missed, that being The Polo Lounge. Known for its amazing soufflé, that’s literally all we come for. Obviously the rest of the food is delicious, outstanding actually, but nothing compares to the gooey chocolate soufflé.  

The Polo Lounge is located in the Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA. This area is known for its huge houses, amazing cars, and obviously celebrities. (I ate breakfast next to Jimmy Fallon, just had to throw that in there). The hotel itself is known for its green and pink scenery, and The Polo Lounge. When you sit down you are met by a server who will tell you all the specials, and the soufflé of the day. That night it had  something I had never had before, a mint chocolate chip soufflé. Usually it’s something more traditional like grand marnier or funfetti, but it was a nice surprise, in fact an amazing one. Dinner was filling, but as someone said to me, we all have a second stomach for dessert, and I did that night. We ordered a classic chocolate soufflé, and of course the soufflé of the day. For some reason, I liked the mint chocolate more than the classic, which I was surprised about. It was probably one of the best things I had ever eaten, and I say that a lot, but it was actually amazing. The minty flavor wasn’t strong at all, it was a perfect refreshing flavor. The chocolate one was amazing as usual. I love the way it is presented, with the sauce on the side that you, the guest, get to pour in yourself. All of it is amazing. So, whether it's a dessert meal or a full meal, I recommend the Polo Lounge at least once in your life if you ever happen to be in LA.
